Many life beliefs, confusion, unconscious desires, doubt, misconception and ignorance are transient moments. This is often when we have disconnected from our innate True Nature. There is indeed value to these worldly human desires and experiences, where many past and present have realised that meditation may potentially avail clarity, and may alleviate further sufferings.

Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a meditative state between wakefulness and sleep. This may be the closest moment we can be connected and conscious of one’s True Nature… Awakened wisdom. This facilitated meditation usually practised in a restful lying down position, may also be received and met in sitting, or any posture that is comfortable and effortless.

There are various traditions and entry points to Yoga Nidra meditation. iRest® Yoga Nidra is one that we shall focus on in this course, a secular, self inquiry based, trauma sensitive approach. There will be theory and practice throughout the course, where participants learn through lecture, facilitated Yoga Nidra practices, discussions and email support following each session. This is a practice that reminds us, reconnect us, and awaken us from klesas (unconscious human conditioning).

iRest® 10 Steps Protocol
  1. Connection to Heart Felt Desire
  2. Set an Intention
  3. Establish Inner Resource
  4. Experience the Physical Body (Annamaya)
  5. Awareness of Breath (Pranayama)
  6. Meeting Emotions (Manomaya)
  7. Observing Thoughts / Believes / Memories / Imaginations etc. (Vijnanamaya)
  8. Experience Joy (Anandamaya)
  9. State of Being-ness within Awareness
  10. Reflection and Integration

We will firstly reconnect to our Sankalpa, to establish and be supported by our inner sanctuary / resource. We will practice and learn to be present, to open up and meet our experiences of varying intensity through self inquiry when ready. The course schedule is such that each session progresses and build upon the previous session, intended to support one's committed practice and learning of Yoga Nidra meditation in your personal space and sanctuary.

Through deep rest and meditation, we shall meet ourselves as it is. Through iRest® Yoga Nidra, we shall reconnect to our innate wisdom, and hold a sacred safe space to unveil our deepest heartfelt desire (HFD). A nourishing practice to support our physical, emotional and mental well being. A deeper connection with ourselves. A return to inner wisdom and Self awakening. A declaration of our True Nature. 💝
