This workshop explores how thoughtful use of props, intelligent sequencing, and sustained stillness can allow the spine to soften out of habitual holding patterns. Rather than “fixing” the back, we explore how creating the right conditions invites natural release and reorganisation.

About the event

Back discomfort and spinal tension are increasingly common in modern life. The back rarely responds well to force or correction alone. It responds to a skilful combination of support and strength, sensitivity and rest.

This day-long Restorative Yoga workshop explores how thoughtful use of props, intelligent sequencing, and sustained stillness can allow the spine to soften out of habitual holding patterns. Rather than “fixing” the back, we explore how creating the right conditions invites natural release and reorganisation.

Through experiential practice, observation, and reflective inquiry, participants will deepen their understanding of how Restorative Yoga supports spinal ease in a non-corrective, embodied way. Gentle somatic practices and somatic repatterning will complement the Restorative work, supporting deeper awareness, integration, and more sustainable change.

Open to both teachers and students, this workshop is suitable for anyone wishing to cultivate a more responsive, easeful, and informed relationship with their back.
