The last year has left many of us needing to adapt, heal, transition, and support ourslves and others through challenging times. With lots of turbulence and the constant managing of uncertainties, it is quite natural to feel unsettled and perhaps burnt out.
So what's the antidote?
Join Adelene Cheong and James Reeves as they guide you through practices of restorative yoga and yoga nidra. You won’t need to have any experience in either of these techniques. You will find yourself exploring nourishing restful postures, relaxing in moments of stillness, and being effortlessly guided into a state of deep, pure rest.
There will be two experiential Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra practices. Through these sessions, you will gain insight into how rest is not an optional luxury, but an essential part of living and being. You will discover how to observe your physiology shifting toward deep relaxation as we restore our nervous systems to a healthy balance.
Adelene will offer carefully put together sequences that support this restoration, with a seamless transition into the guided yoga nidra sessions. James will lead you on a journey to wholeness through the teachings of yoga nidra, a transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system and develops a deep capacity to meet and be at ease with life’s many challenges.
This event will be delivered via Zoom. Participants will have access to a video of the recording afterwards (via a private YouTube listing). Attendees will also have the option to be sent further resources to continue their practice at home.

10.45 -12.00 – restorative yoga
12.00 -12.45 – yoga nidra
12.45 - 2.15 – lunch
2.15 - 3.30 – restorative yoga
3.30 - 4.15 – yoga nidra
4.15 - 4.30 – closing circle
Step 1: Prepare a yoga mat, an eye pillow, 2x blocks, 2x bolsters or cushions, 4x blankets and access to a sofa or low chair.
Step 2: Setup your device to have full view of your mat with 2’ space around your mat.
Step 3: ‘Join Zoom Meeting’ with the link emailed to you when you register.
